TOHS Chess Club

At the Thousand Oaks High School Chess club we offer members an opportunity to play chess with people and learn about the world's most popular game. Chess Club Rules

1.  The word of an officer or Advisor is law.
2. During all games, the number of spectators is limited to two only.
3. During all games, no talking will be acceptable in consideration for those who wish to play.
4. No homework will be done during meetings.
5. No use of electronics will be tolerated except for those that promote chess.
6. Players who socialize excessively not regarding chess will be asked to leave immediately.
7. No communication of any kind with anyone playing a game, or creating a distraction by talking or other noises nearby.
8. Good sportsmanship and manners are expected at all times.
9. All USCF rules of game play apply at all meetings.
10.  At any time, an officer may ask for the clubs immediate attention, at such time all members are to stop activities and listen.
 ***Membership may be suspended or revoked without reimbursement for misbehavior or violation of club rules.***

We are currently looking for someone to write the chess newsletter, if you are interested please contact Dakota Jones. This position will be counted as an officer position and may count toward college applications for you.
